The 2007 Budget Statement.

What week it has been.

With the end of the tax Year fast approaching, those who have not made ISA investments had better hurry as time is running out fast.

I usually make comment about the Budget which is  often long and boring, however this time my statement will be brief and to the point.

Thank you Mr Brown for not making any major changes to the Trust environment, and for the small increase in Inheritance Tax, which will not have a major impact for most.

With regard to the reduction in the headline rate of Income Tax, we of course Thank you, however for many of my clients the overall burden of Taxation has gone up, and not so for my most wealthiest.

Did I miss something?

By way of some breaking news we are expecting further changes to Inheritance Tax Schemes, I know I keep going on about this tax, but it is so easy to avoid without complicating your other planning.

Investment Markets look like continuing there wobbles over the next few weeks, even Radio 4 carried an interview with American Estate Agents in relation to the recent falls in the property makets there.

There is probably more to come.

Fears of a slowdown in America have caused a good deal of uncertainty over the past weeks, and it looks likely to continue for the time being.

The Markets – Wow

What a ride over the past few days, it seems that Volatility may be back.

China caused most of the problems or did it. Most Investment Markets have been looking a tad high over the past few weeks and with any market increase there is always a subsequent period of quiet which is where we seem to be now. Some of the falls have been made up, and this should continue.

It should serve as reminder that you should all have well balanced porfolios invested properly.
