The Markets- woe is me!
What a week, it was my intention to provide some positive comment and it would seem that I may be the only one.
There is a credt crunch, and this has arrived from the US, however as China and the Far East own most of the US debt, it is them who should be concerned. With the fall in the US Dollar causing problems with the Oil Price there are some real issues about the future.
Cheap money is coming to an end, or is it? My Dad always reminds me about about 1976 when the Summer was hot and dry, and interest rates hit 13%. I don’t think it is the same set of circumstances now.
We should be concerned, we should ensure that our money is invested in the right sectors, in accordance with our Risk Profile and be taking a medium term view, then you can sleep at night.
I think we are in the process of change, as we are always, and it is only in hindsight that we will know the full story and about the best places to invest after the event (s) and this is the same as always.
